nVent Hosts Fireside Discussion with Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx CEO

Last week, nVent hosted a fireside discussion focused on ‘Building Winning Organizations’, featuring nVent Chair and Chief Executive Officer Beth Wozniak and Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx Chief Executive Officer Matt Caldwell. The event took place in nVent’s management office, in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. Discussion moderator, nVent EVP and Chief Marketing Officer Martha Bennett, led the conversation on winning through a growth mindset, building organizations that thrive through change, creating conditions for high performance and future-ready innovation and momentum. 

The discussion explored what it takes to build a winning organization that excels today while preparing for tomorrow. Both leaders discussed growth and transformation as change catalysts, how high‑performing organizations empower people to do their best work and setting up teams for success.  

“At the end of the day, pressure is a privilege,” said Matthew Caldwell, Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx Chief Executive Officer. “The pressure from the media or fanbase is something that I try to encourage our team to embrace and be proud of. The best way to deal with pressure is to prepare and appreciate that you are in this position.” 

“Building a winning organization comes down to our people,” said Beth Wozniak, nVent Chair and Chief Executive Officer. “We are only as good as all the people on our team. Winning is all about our culture, our people and coming together as an organization.”

We became an inaugural Changemakers partner with the Minnesota Lynx, the presenting partner of the Timberwolves Women’s History Night and hosted several student tours at our Anoka, Minnesota manufacturing facility.
